Chantico Pure Agave Sweetener is produced by harvesting and processing the sap from the "Maguey" or agave plant. The Maguey plant has been at the
heart of Mexican culture for centuries and remains a link to the country's origin. The Maguey plant now brings us a wonderful everyday sweetener.
Chantico is the Mexican goddess of fires in the family hearth and of precious things, and the resplendent bird on the label is called a Quetzal, which the ancient Aztecs viewed as the 'god of the air and as a symbol of goodness and light.
Chantico uses Blue Agave which has a higher organic fructose concentration percentage of 75%-83%, which is considered 'Premium'.
Chantico enhances any food or beverage where honey, sugar or sugar alternatives are used, without altering their flavour. It is also a great baking ingredient for sauces such as BBQ, stews and meat glazes.
